This one is a long time coming as I had a lot of other work to attend to, but I’m so happy to finally be able to share it. Along with photography, music is a passion of mine and when we’re talking East Coast music that passion is greatly intensified. For the past three years I have volunteered my time taking photos for the East Coast Music Association in Moncton, Halifax, and this year in Charlottetown, PEI. I truly believe we have some of the best talent there is to be had right here at home. If you haven’t ever treated yourself to some live Maritime music give yourself a SMACK and get out and see some! You will be blown away by what you’ve been missing. Several Juno winners were present and performing for us this year as well as well as many up-and-comers that we will be hearing a lot more about in the coming years.
In addition to various showcases, the Red Carpet at the Awards Gala, and ECMA’s being handed out, you will see some images from a touching tribute medley in honour of Jay Smith, who we lost too soon, and his parents accepting an award on his behalf.
